After the Game, this Saturday!

It is hard to believe we have already reached Homecoming!  It is the 50th Anniversary of SMSU, with a ton of activities all over campus.  At the Campus Religious Center, we are hosting an "After-the-Game" Game and Snack night.  Stop on over for meatballs, apple crisp, cookies, pizza and a table full of other goodies, along with fellowship and fun with friends (new and old).  The CRC will be open after the game until 11:30p (or so).  If you would like to sign up to let us know you are coming, please click here

Service Opportunity

Meals on Wheels has contacted us for help with delivery people to help with one of the Marshall routes this week.  It is called "University"  and it will be free all week.  Please let Becki know if you are free to help.

Family Weekend at the Campus Religious Center

Family Weekend is celebrated by the entire SMSU community every fall. This year's feature event was the football game against Minot. At the half, the Mustangs were behind, but managed to pull off a win by the time the game ended.

While the game was being played, preparations were happening at the Campus Religious Center.  A variety of appetizers, desserts and beverages were prepared and set up.  Then, the most important part, the games were laid out.  The evening started slow, with just a couple of people arriving, but before long we had a table of laughter from people playing Hand 2 Hand.  Don't miss the opportunity for laughter in two weeks when we host the next event, after the Homecoming Game!

Time flies when you are having fun!  Family weekend is already going to be here in just a few short days.  Don't forget to stop at the Campus Religious Center, after the SMSU Football GAME!  We will have snacks, games and an opportunity for fellowship with your fellow students and their families.  If you want to let us know you are coming, please sign up here

First Tuesday: Praise and Worship Music

There comes a time in the school year when things are starting to settle into a schedule.  The opening days, with all of its chaos and busyness, are an exciting time, but the time after that is special, too. It is a time of deepening relationships and growing in community.  Newman Club meetings, and their schedule, is where that is all rooted.

The first Tuesday of each month, we gather in the Chapel.  Roger and Deb Schroeder are beginning their second year of song leading with us.  We appreciate their "yes" to God's call since singing is just not complete with some instrumental music.

Yesterday was our first First Tuesday.  It was a night filled with song, scripture, and growing in our faith community.  Join us next month, at 7p, on October 3.  If you have some favorite songs, send them our way so we can make arrangements to have them included!  (catholicstangs@gmail.com)

Stations of the Cross

Over the summer, the Catholic Campus Ministries received a donation of a complete set of the Stations of the Cross.  Labor Day was installation day!  Please stop by and bless the Stations through your prayers.  Station booklets are available on the counter.
